They say that couples who workout out together, stay together… Meet Alex and Adriana Guzman. Alex is an owner of a landscaping company, and Adriana is an Account Manager for an insurance company . Alex has been a member of Chicago Sports & Fitness since December of 2014 and Adriana became a member in January 2014.
You can find these newlyweds here every night working hard. We wanted to know a little more about this couple so we asked them a few questions:
- What was it that drew you to fitness?
Alex: I always liked to play sports and one day my sister bought me a gym membership. The first day I was hooked.
Adriana: A good friend told me about BNA, she suggested we check it out. When we did we stared with the group fitness classes. Soon after I saw results I felt so good I couldn’t stop going and soon after that that’s when my journey began.
- How do you make time to get your workouts in?
We try to make the most out of every minute of the day, we also work as a team to get things done and it just makes it so much easier for the both of us. Also we both make it a priority so there is no question if we are going or not.
- What tips would you offer someone who is just starting out with their fitness journey?
Set small attainable goals for yourself and just give it a chance. Make it a lifestyle not just something you do temporarily.
- What tips would you give other couples?
Take the time at the gym as an opportunity to spend time together while you both work towards your goals.
- What is your current workout routine?
Alex: At the moment my current workout routine is geared towards reaching a very low body fat while working on my weak body parts.
Adriana: Right now, my goal is to focus on cardio and incorporate some weight training as well.
- In your opinion, what is the biggest benefit of workout out together?
The biggest benefit of working out together for us is that we can help each other stay motivated and it makes it so much easier to live this lifestyle when your partner has the same interests as you.
- How has being a member at CSFC helped you on your fitness journey?
We like the environment at the gym which keeps us motivated. We also like the way the gym is set up, you never feel rushed to move to another machine. It also has a very convenient location.
